Geometry: shorter reach, shallower drop
Most gravel race frames borrow their geometry from the professional peloton: long reach, low stack and a deep bottom-bracket drop. That works for riders who train twenty hours a week. For everyone else it means a stretched position that collapses after three hours and a bottom bracket that clips rocks on technical descents.
Eryx is drawn the other way round. The reach is shorter and the bottom-bracket drop shallower than typical race geometry, so you sit in a strong, slightly more upright position that you can hold for a full day, and you get more pedal clearance on rough ground. The aero-shaped head tube and integrated handlebar keep the front end clean without forcing a racing position.
Carbon and weight
The frame is laid up from Toray T800 and T1000 carbon in Tinden's own layup. T1000 has a higher tensile strength than T800, so it is used where loads concentrate — around the bottom bracket, head tube and chainstays — while T800 keeps the rest of the frame compliant and affordable. A painted size M frame weighs about 1 030 grams.
Clearance, storage and bags
58 mm of clearance front and rear means you can run anything from a fast 40 mm gravel tyre to a 2.2-inch mountain-bike tyre on 700c wheels, which opens up the kind of rough, washed-out mountain roads we ride around Hemsedal. The down tube has a storage compartment for a tube, tool and CO2, and every frameset ships with the Tinden aero top tube bag and frame bag, cut to follow the frame's lines.
Complete bikes and transfer builds
Eryx is also offered as a complete bike in three builds with Campagnolo Ekar GT or Super Record 13 gravel groupsets and Fulcrum Zonda GT or Sharq GR wheels. If you already own a groupset and wheels you are happy with, our transfer-build service moves them from your current bike onto a new Eryx frameset — we do the build in Hemsedal and ship the finished bike back to you.
